Hashbang Digital is looking for a Software Engineer to help design and build thoughtful, high-impact software. We work on things like AI copilots for analysts and operators, data pipelines for secure environments, and early-stage prototypes that push the limits of what’s possible. You’ll join a small, focused team that values clarity, autonomy, and real-world results.
– Confident writing clean, maintainable code
– Quick to learn new technologies and adapt to unfamiliar stacks
– Strong communicator who works well with engineers, designers and domain experts
– Actively contributes to team ceremonies like standups, planning and retros
– Comfortable owning work from idea to delivery, with support when needed
– Able to break down problems and ship value in small, meaningful steps
– Experience with languages like Java, Kotlin, Python or SQL
– Exposure to big data, backend services, or cloud-native infrastructure
– Familiarity with secure, regulated, or complex delivery environments
– Comfortable navigating ambiguity in R&D or exploratory projects
– Interest in AI, public sector tech, or national security applications
